After four days at the Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival where I had no phone or email contact, I packed our tent early this morning, stopped at a park to shower and dress, and headed for Sacramento where I testified at the invitation of Senator Loni Hancock at two Assembly hearings on her coal bills, SB 1277 and SB 1279.

Both of Hancock’s bills survived the hearings and moved ahead, just in time for the Oakland City Council’s hearing on the proposed coal terminal tonight – and is ongoing as this is written.
