            22 cities are  participating in the 2015–2016 Cool  California Challenge: Claremont, San Mateo, Buellton, Indio,  Burlingame, Long Beach, Elk Grove, San Carlos, Lynwood, Martinez, South  Pasadena, Redwood City, Huntington Beach, San Pablo, Benicia, Corte Madera,  Mill Valley, Sausalito, El Cerrito, Fairfax, Larkspur, and Richmond. 
            Unfortunately,  Richmond is running number 15 among the 22 California cities. You can increase  Richmond’s score by participating on-line, and you may get some hot tips that  will save you money and reduce your carbon footprint. 
            The Cool California Challenge is  here, pitting city against city in a battle to see who does the best job of  lowering their carbon footprint.
