After posting This is the List You Don't Want to Be On, November 30, 2016, many people pointed out that not only was Richmond missing from the Top 12 list, it was missing from the list altogether. I checked the FBI Crime Statistics and found that Richmond was not listed.

Now, if you can evade the FBI, that’s a story in itself. However, Chief Allwyn Brown provided the following explanation: “We suffered a significant data loss in November 2015 as a result of a combination of human neglect and software failure and so our data it was submitted late, and they chose not to include it.”

No news is good news, they say.
